Get to Know Kelly…

My love affair with sports began in fifth grade, when I moved to Arizona and started watching the Phoenix Suns. That 1993 Suns season was magical, culminating with a trip to the NBA Finals, sparking my love of basketball. Basketball quickly led to a passion for all sports. As a track and cross country athlete at Arizona State, I’ve translated that love for sport into a career in sports broadcasting.

From playing the game to now broadcasting it, my versatility is on display as an analyst, play-by-play and reporter. I love the unscripted, impromptu storytelling and strategy behind the game, as much as cultivating relationships with the coaches and athletes I cover. You can check out my coverage of college basketball, football, volleyball, softball, and track on CBS SportsNet, ESPN3, ESPN+, CSN Chicago, and the American Digital Network. Before calling live games, I spent 11 years in local TV as a sports anchor/reporter at ABC affiliates KDRV-TV in Oregon and WSIL-TV in Illinois.

My career has taken me to places I’ve never heard of, parts of the country I’d never imagine putting roots, but it’s been a journey of purpose and unexpected privilege- sharing people’s stories, struggles, and triumphs.
